Melanie Jones
Melanie Jones (Ma Rainey) is proud to be working with the Detroit Repertory Theatre for the first time. In the past, she’s performed in shows including Memphis, Perilous Times, Antigone, Poof, Pipeline and more. As a stylist, singer, actor and overall creative she has enjoyed working front and center stage as well as behind the scenes. “There’s nowhere but up from here,” she says. She dedicates her performances to her daughter Charis Jones who is her #1 motivation.
